Here is the Mariah Carey Jay Leno video of her Nov. 2, 2009 interview on the show. She discussed her role in the movie Precious (photos from the Hollywood premiere above and below), as well as her marriage to Nick Cannon and her 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and its platinum-selling single Obsessed.

She talked about her critically acclaimed de-glamorized role as a social worker helping the title character, a troubled teenager, in the movie whose full title is Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire and a film clip was shown during the interview. Previously at the movie’s premiere in Hollywood, she said in an interview, reflecting upon her success with this movie, versus the critically panned 2001 movie Glitter.

“Being here is definitely a milestone. But I had one milestone that almost had me under this stone,” Carey told us as the AFI screening of “Precious” on Sunday night. “I didn’t realize you really have to be selective with the people that you work with and you have to have that support system and you have to work with people that you feel are geniuses.”

She reflected upon taking on an uncharacteristic and unglamorous role in the movie and what it has meant to her.

“This was such a liberating experience and yet humiliating. But I needed that,” Carey said. “We all need that, we need to understand how to be humble and it’s a difficult business to do that in. But I’m definitely inspired to work out of my comfort zone after this.”

Here is the First Lady Michelle Obama Jay Leno video of her appearance on the show on Oct. 23, 2009 answering the Ten at Ten via satellite.

Questions ranged from the President’s most annoying habit, to which she initially joked, “We don’t have enough time,” to what is on her iPod to which she said: “I’ve got Sting, I’ve got Stevie Wonder, my favorite. I’ve got some Sara Bareilles, I’ve got, ooh, some Robin Thicke, some Mary J. Blige. I got it all. Some Herbie Hancock. I love my iPod!”

Here is the Halle Berry Jay Leno video. The Academy Award winning actress made a September 17 2009 appearance on the Jay Leno Show on NBC, dressed in a close-fitting short black dress and thigh high boots. When the host complemented her on her appearance she delivered the headline making reply: “You know, thank you for that, Jay, because that must mean that pregnancy rumors can be put to bed! I was getting a complex! Because I was like, I’ve got to stop with the burgers or something!”

She spoke candidly about her daughter, Nahla, sharing an amusing anecdote of an incident in a supermarket, and her boyfriend of four years, fashion model Gabriel Aubry whom she told Leno she first saw as his image was on the side of a bus. The entertaining interview was interspersed with film and TV clips of the actress who won her Best Actress Oscar for her role in the movie Monster’s Ball. Kanye West Jay Leno Video: Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kanye West Run This Town Performance 9-14-09

Here is the Sept. 14, 2009 Kanye West Jay Leno video of the interview and apology to Taylor Swift along with photos and the Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kanye West Run this Town live performance on the premiere of The Jay Leno Show on NBC.

During the brief interview, Kanye West, who had previously apologized via his blog, reflected upon his behavior towards Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs (pictured above) in which he notoriously appeared on stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video of the Year, took the microphone, interrupting her and telling the audience that Beyonce ‘had one of the greatest music videos of all time’ and should have won. As seen below, Beyonce, upon winning for Video of the Year, called Taylor Swift to the stage, allowing her the chance to give her acceptance speech.

Kanye West told Jay Leno: “It’s been extremely difficult dealing with the fact that I hurt someone…I have only wanted to help people…I immediately knew it was wrong, not a spectacle; someone’s emotions that I stepped on. I would like to apologize to [Taylor Swift] in person.”

Leno brought up West’s late mother, Donda West who died in 2007, asking him how she would have responded, and West shed some tears and said, he had never taken the time off and that he realized his hurt had taken away from someone else’s dream. He acknowledged he need to take time off. He additionally offered help Taylor Swift in the future.

As seen in the video below, the previously schedule performance of the trio, Jay-Z and Rihanna and Kanye immediately followed the apology; the trio performed Run this Town, which is the second single from Jay-Z’s newly released Blueprint 3 album.
