Here is the Pitbull SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti video of his live performance of ‘Shut It Down’ with Akon on Fri., Feb. 5, 2010 as part of the telethon broadcast on BET, MTV and VH1 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL.

The three-hour telethon is hosted by Sean Diddy Combs and Queen Latifah — the broadcast featured performances by Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke, Nas, Jazmine Sullivan and Pharrell Williams among others. Funds raised will go towards Haiti relief efforts through C.A.R.E., Project MediShare, Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation, and P&G’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program.

Donations can be made via the SOSHelpforHaiti.org Web site. Downloads of the performance are available after the telecast at AmazonMP3.com with all proceeds benefiting the Haiti relief efforts.

Here is the official Pitbull Shut It Down Video, Lyrics with Akon. It is the fourth single from the Miami-based Cuban-American rapper’s fourth studio album Rebelution.

He was recently interviewed by CNN and discussed a range of topics as he reflected upon his rapid success in the music business in the last few years.

[Humor is] everything. Everything. Usually the negatives turned out to be the most positive for me. In the music industry, any other artist would have looked at the situation I was in and thought, “Oh man, this is not for me.” I looked at it more like [Darwin exploring] the Galápagos Islands. You know — survival of the fittest.

Here is the new song from ‘Lola,’ alter ego of Jennifer Lopez, Fresh Out the Oven; lyrics and video below. The single features rapper Pitbull and is produced by The Neptunes. The official music video has been released and is posted below.

Along with the debut of the new song, on Oct. 7, a Web site, MySpace Twitter were also launched: Whoislola.com, MySpace/whoislola and @_whoislola respectively in support of the new persona who has thus far a single enigmatic Tweet: ” Lola here. What’s my deal? Well, wouldn’t you like to know…”

Previously, Pitbull spoke with MTV and confirmed that a video has been shot for the new single of which he said:

“Definitely something very, very sexy. Produced by Pharrell, look out for it. It’s kind of like eyes wide shut.”

The most recent album from actress and singer-songwriter Jennifer Lopez was 2007’s Brave. Her forthcoming studio album is tentatively titled Love? AceShowBiz.com quotes Amanda Ghost, president of Epic Records’ interview with People magazine:.

This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun. Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song.”

Here is the Pitbull Conan O’Brien video. The Cuban-American rapper’s August 31, 2009 appearance on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien is in support of the release of his third studio album, Rebelution, released on September 1, 2009. He performed his hit singles, I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) along with Hotel Room Service, which samples Push the Feeling On by Nightcrawlers.

Both singles are from the new album; the former peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the R.I.A.A. and the latter, has peaked at No. 9. Additionally, the album has produced the lead single, Krazy (featuring Lil Jon).

Pitbull (real name Armando Christian Perez and also known as Mr 305) was recently honored by the City of Miami; in a ceremony at City Hall he was awarded the key to the city in recognition of his philanthropic efforts. In an interview with MTV News, he expressed regret that these charitable efforts have been overshadowed by such incidents as the video which went viral on the Internet showing him punching a fan who was disruptive at a concert in Colorado earlier this year.

“I’m involved in charities and in the community; I got foundations. I’m always giving away turkeys, presents, whatever it may be. We just gave away money for Radio Lollipop in Miami. And no one cares about it. I knock some guy out, everyone wants to know about it. That’s just the way it works. It was kind of fortunate, but unfortunate to figure it out that way.”
