Here is the Madonna Letterman video of her September 30, 2009 interview on Late Show with David Letterman, in support of the release of her compilation album, Celebration, her third greatest hits album. It marked her eighth appearance on the show.

With Letterman noting some of the many achievements of the Queen of Pop, such as selling 200 million albums throughout her career, her Sticky & Sweet Tour grossing a record $408 million, her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, she then made a grand entrance, carried aloft by hockey players.

The wide ranging, often humorous interview covered numerous subjects from her dislike of the term Madge to references to A-Rod, and more. After noting her eight year marriage to British director Guy Ritchie took place during the Bush years — “It was a good time to be out of the country” — she assessed marriage stating, “I’d rather get run over by a train.”

When she revealed that she had never eaten New York pizza, because she was not a ‘cheese person’ she and Letterman were then seen on camera going next door where they were served pizza with olives, but without cheese. Seen at the end of the second video below. [Source: Madonna on Letterman]

In a recent exclusive interview for PoPeater, conducted by Billboard journalist Larry Flick, Madonna discussed a range of topics including the newly released album. Of her future plans, she said:

“I have several projects going. I have another script that I’ve written, and I want to direct another film. Hopefully, I’ll be doing that next year. I also have many, many projects going on in Africa right now that I want to bring to fruition, like building a girls school and working on two new documentaries that I want to make. So, I’ve got lots of projects going.”

Here are the Madonna Revolver lyrics, video featuring Lil Wayne. Along with the title track it is the second original song included in the forthcoming compilation album, Celebration, which will be released on September 29, 2009. It marks the third greatest hits album, showcasing the Queen of Pop’s numerous hit singles throughout her career. The official music video will be posted when available.

As Rolling Stone notes, Lil Wayne’s appearance comes near the end of the song with such lines as: “My love-using weapon, and yes I use it well. Then I let the rose petals cover up the bullet shells. Here are the Michael Jackson VMA tribute at the MTV VMA Awards 2009; video and photos of Madonna and Janet Jackson from September 13, 2009. The tribute features Madonna’s speech (full text below) in rememberance the King of Pop, followed by Janet Jackson dancing to Scream, in a spectacular choreographed routine featuring larger than life screen images of MJ. These were highlights of the moving and remarkable tribute which began the awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall. Scream was originally a collaboration between the singer and her late brother.

In her remarks, Madonna noted the legendary entertainer, the King of Pop and the vulnerable and shy human being whom she said she had befriended in the early 1990s but drifted away from in subsequent years. She said: “When I was six, my mother died. I think he got the shorter end of the sick. I never had a mother but he never had a childhood.”

Here is the official Madonna Celebration video, lyrics and photos. The new single is the lead single and title track of the Queen of Pop’s forthcoming compilation album; see Madonna Celebration album track-listing; it will be released on September 29, 2009. It is her third greatest hits album.

The official premiere of the video, which was directed by Jonas Akerlund and shot on location in Milan, Italy, is September 1, 2009. The music video is available on iTunes as a free download on Sept. 1-2. It features cameo appearances from her daughter, Lola Leon, and Brazilian model Jesus Luz. The highly anticipated compilation album will be available as a single disc as well as a double disc set; an additional DVD release will include previously unseen Madonna videos along with the new one. Here is the Madonna Michael Jackson Tribute video and photos of her performance on July 4, 2009 at London O2 Arena. Madonna and her dancers performed a special dance routine in hommage of the King of Pop, during the performance of her signature hit Holiday.

The performance by the Queen of Pop which kicked off the European leg of her Sticky and Sweet Tour was just a few days ahead of what was to have been the kickoff of Michael Jackson’s This Is It series of concerts at O2 Arena in London on July 13, 2009.

The Madonna Sticky & Sweet World Tour continues on July 5, 2009 at O2 Arena. The tour originally kicked off in 2008 and has continued in 2009, in support of her album, Hard Candy album, which topped the charts in 37 countries around the world. It is the top grossing tour of all time by a solo artist taking in more than $280 million. The final leg of the Madonna Sticky & Sweet Tour will wrap in Tel Aviv, Israel on September 1, 2009.

Here is the Madonna Miles Away video. See the official music video and photos here. It is in support of the third single from the Queen of Pop’s eleventh studio album, Hard Candy.

The Madonna Miles Away lyrics and music were written by Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. Released as a single in October 2008, the music video has had its long awaited premiere on June 6, 2009. The music video features footage from the Madonna Sticky & Sweet World Tour which began in 2008 and has continued in 2009, in support of the Hard Candy album, which has topped the charts in 37 countries around the world. The tour is highest grossing tour ever by a solo artist taking in more than $280 million.

Regarding the lyrical and melancholy ballad, Madonna discussed in an interview the autobiographical significance, as it was written prior to her divorce from British filmmaker Guy Ritchie.

“That’s a song most people who work can relate to. If part of your work is travelling, and the person you are with also works and travels, you find yourself separated a lot and it can be very frustrating,” she says.

“I’m American and he (Ritchie) is British, and I have to come to America all the time.

“Especially at the beginning of our relationship, that long-distance thing was very frustrating. I also think it’s easier for people to say things from a distance; it’s safer.”

Madonna Louis Vuitton Steven Meisel Photos Spring Summer 2009

Madonna appears in a provocative photo shoot by famed photographer Steven Meisel for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009 collection. See all six of the photos and video here. As is often the case with the Queen of Pop, the edgy, seductive photographs–whose setting appears to be a smoky French bistro, although they were shot in a Los Angeles restaurant–have drawn much attention and some criticism.

Madonna and Steven Meisel have a longtime collaboration which began with the photos he shoot for her infamous 1992 book Sex. So we should not be at all surprised that the superstar whose career has spanned decades continues to raise eyebrows with photos like these.

Antoine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s communications director, said: “Madonna is glamorous. She has a global image. She’s the ultimate performer and businesswoman, and not someone who is just a famous singer. She has travelled. She has tried to change things.”

Marc Jacobs, creative director of the famed design house, discussed in an interview how the photo shoot came about. He saw the singer perform in concert in Paris and was impressed.

”I just blurted out, ‘I think we should do Madonna,’” he said. “I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.”

He sent her a text asking if she would be interested and the singer replied minutes later, saying: “I’d love to.” Jacobs described the campaign as “beautiful, gorgeous Madonna”.
