Here is the Jennifer Hudson BET Honors 2010 video of her performance of I Will Always Love You in tribute to honoree Whitney Houston in the 3rd annual awards ceremony broadcast Feb. 1, 2010. The legendary diva was among those receiving honors at the Warner Theatre on Jan. 16, 2010 in Washington, DC. with host Gabrielle Union.

Additional honorees included Entrepreneur Honoree Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Media Recipient Queen Latifah; Public Service Honoree Keith L. Black, M.D., and Education Honoree Dr. Ruth J. Simmons. The Oscar and Grammy winner delivered a powerhouse rendition of the iconic song from The Bodyguard soundtrack. Here are the I Will Always Love You lyrics.

Here is the Jennifer Hudson: I’ll Be Home for Christmas video from Dec. 14, 2009. The ABC TV holiday special featured the Grammy and Academy Award winner in her hometown Chicago with a guest appearance from Grammy winning singer Michael Buble in a duet on Baby, It’s Cold Outside.

She visited such locations as Pleasant Gift M.B. Church, where she first began singing in the choir as a child, and the high school from which she graduated, Dunbar Vocational Career Academy on the South Side. She was also featured in segments showcasing the iconic landmarks of Chicago, including Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River.

Here is the Jennifer Hudson Today Show video. See video, photos here of the May 15, 2009 interview and live performances of the Grammy and Oscar winner and former American Idol, as part of the Today Show Toyota Concert Series. She delivered powerhouse performances of her newest single, ‘If This Isn’t Love,’ along with ‘Spotlight, All are from her self-titled debut album which won a 2009 Grammy Award for Best R&B album.

Additionally, she performed And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ from the musical Dreamgirls (for which she won an Oscar in the screen adaptation). It was performed as a duet with an audience member, Melissa Goscinsky, who won a contest and got to sing with Hudson, and who delivered a noteworthy performance alongside the music superstar.

During her interview with Today Show host Matt Lauer, Jennifer Hudson expressed her enthusiasm for her present life of performing on tour with fellow R&B artist Robin Thicke on their co-headlining tour. ‘It’s like a great learning experience,’ she said.

When Matt Lauer asked her about the June 2009 Essence magazine cover story, she was quick to say regarding the cover title ‘Pushing Past the Pain,’ “That’s not me, that’s Essence having their moments. I’d rather work past that.” (For more see: Jennifer Hudson Opens Up About Slain Mother )

Responding to Lauer’s question about how she has coped with the family tragedy, the tragic shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew, she said, “God is able. I have to give the credit to God.” She said it was her faith that gets her through. When asked if she felt angry, she said she didn’t and that she is a very forgiving person.

Her fiance David Otunga was present and acknowledged on camera. Jennifer Hudson said they had set a wedding date, but she declined to reveal the date.

Watch an awe inspiring Jennifer Hudson Jennifer Holliday duet video. The powerhouse singers delivered an electrifying rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” live on stage in Atlanta, Georgia April 16, 2009, at Fox Theatre as Hudson’s headline tour with fellow R&B singer Robin Thicke was in town that night.

The song is Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday’s signature song from the 1981 Broadway production of Dreamgirls in which she originated the role of Effie White and she received a Tony Award. The song became a hit single and won the Holliday a subsequent Grammy Award.

Jennifer Hudson former American Idol received an Academy Award for her performance as Effie White in the movie version of the hit musical.

Previously, in June 2007, the pair performed a Jennifer Hudson Jennifer Holliday duet of the hit song on BET Awards when the latter made a surprise appearance, much as she did in Atlanta.

But that same night in Atlanta, saw yet another guest appearance; American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia joined Jennifer Hudsonfor a duet of their single I’m His Only Woman,’ from Hudson’s self-titled debut album, which won the 2009 Grammy for Best R&B Album. Here is the Jennifer Hudson American Idol video. See video, photos here. She performed her latest single and ‘If This Isn’t Love’ on the American Idol Season 8 Top 7 results night April 15, 2009.

The Grammy Award and Academy Award winner’s stellar performance was recorded in March for broadcast on the program and as such was one of her first performances after the Jennifer Hudson family tragedy; the shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew.

In her brief remarks with host Ryan Seacrest after the Jennifer Hudson American Idol performance, she expressed her excitement over winning a Grammy Award. She said she had set a wedding date to marry fiance David Otunga, but would not reveal the date, saying, ‘It’s a secret.’

The 27-year-old former season 3 American Idol is the only Idol to have won an Academy Award (for her performance in the 2006 movie Dreamgirls). In retrospect, it is amazing that she finished 7th in that season in 2004. Simon Cowell has cited this as one of the reason for this season’s change in rules on the program allowing for a ‘judges save’ to keep worthy contestants in the competition even if they are scoring low with viewers. Ironically, on the night the Jennifer Hudson American Idol performance was broadcast, the judges’ did indeed use their ‘judges save’ to keep Matt Giraud from being eliminated. (See: Matt Giraud ’saved’ by ‘American Idol’ judges after Kalamazoo singer was eliminated by voters)

The former seventh place finisher with Oscar and Grammy in hand is presently on her first headlining tour with fellow R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, resumed her career in full force. The single, ‘If This Isn’t Love,’ is from her self-titled debut album which won a 2009 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album of the Year. Jennifer Hudson has completed shooting a video for her single ‘If This Isn’t Love.’ See set photos and the video which is set to debut during the week of February 9, 2009. The Academy Award winning actress and singer and former American Idol has received four Grammy Award nominations for her self-titled debut album, and is set to sing the National Album at the 2009 Super Bowl on February 1, 2009. She will also be performing at the Grammy Awards on February 8, 2009.

Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah are on the cover Ebony Magazine November 2008 issue. The three music superstars are co-stars of the upcoming movie, The Secret Life of Bees. The magazine cover story is “The Voices of America: A New Movement is taking over as stars and real people turn out to make history and change the world….” along with articles on The Secret Life of Bees and Jennifer Hudson.

The Secret Life of Bees will be released in theaters on October 17, 2008 and also stars Sophie Okonedo, Dakota Fanning and Paul Bettany. The movie was adapted from the best-selling novel of the same title by Sue Monk Kidd, who co-wrote the screenplay with the movie’s director, Gina Prince-Bythewood. Jada Pinkett Smith is the executive producer and her husband Will Smith produced the movie.
