The song, with its edgy lyrics which appear to reference a threesome, was produced by hitmaker Max Martin, producer of the iconic ‘… Baby One More Time’ smash hit. The Britney Spears Radar video was directed by Dave Meyers who directed her previous music videos “Lucky,” “Outrageous” and “Boys” and shot in late May 2008 on location at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California. Britney Spears Radar was produced by Bloodshy & Avant and The Clutch; the track appeared on her fifth studio album, Blackout and is also the fourth official single of her sixth studio album, “Circus” Not only did the pop superstar make a successful comeback with the album; its No. 1 debut Billboard 200 made it her fifth album No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Additionally, she is the first music artist with four albums selling more than 500,000 on debut week in Nielsen SoundScan history.

The Britney Spears Circus Tour 2009 officially entitled “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” is presently on the European leg which kicked off in London O2 Arena on June 3 and 4, 2009. Here is the official music video for Britney Spears’ “If U Seek Amy,’ the controversial third single from her sixth studio album, Circus. Watch the video and see photos of the pop superstar here. The highly anticipated music video made its debut on March 12, 2009 on the Virgin Mobile Web site and the official Web site of Britney Spears.

‘If U Seek Amy’ is the album’s third single; it was co-written and produced by Max Martin, who wrote some of the pop superstar’s prevous songs, in particular two of her signature hits “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!… I Did It Again”.. The music video was directed by Jake Nava, who directed the music video for ‘My Prerogative.’ He has also directed videos for top music artists including Beyonce, Leona Lewis, and Shakira.

The song has generated controversy over the lyrics because at one point in the song, as Britney Spears sings…”All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin’ to, if you seek Amy…some claim it sounds as if Britney Spears is actually singing “All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin’ to f—k me.”

The video features steamy scenes with the pop superstar and dancers, and juxtaposes the suggestive setting with scenes of Britney Spears portraying a provocative suburban housewife.

The Britney Spears Circus Tour 2009 kicked off March 3, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana under the direction of the Emmy Award-winning choreographer and director, Wade Robson. “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” also features the Pussycat Dolls and will make stops in 26 North American cities in total, with the European leg of the tour kicking off in London, England’s O2 Arena on June 3 and 4, 2009. The Circus Starring Britney Spears Tour kicked off with a concert in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 3, 2009. See photos and video here. The pop superstar’s highly anticipated opening night began with her singing the title track of her sixth studio album Circus, as she was lowered from a trapeze onto a spectacular three-ring stage set that evoked a circus with aerialists, acrobats, martial artists and magicians. The opening act, Pussycat Dolls and frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger had literally set the stage with their performance as they were accompanied by jugglers, gymnasts and unicyclists from the Big Apple Circus.

Britney Spears had made the official Circus Tour set list public in advance of the highly anticipated tour, her comeback tour and her first in five years. It features her hit singles and new tracks from Circus. She also sang ‘Radar’ along with Womanizer and some of as her classics, Boys, Me Against the Music, and Baby One More Time. The tour with its spectacular stage in the round was created by director Jamie King. The pop superstar wore costumed designed by Dsquared2, the Canadian designers and identical twins Dean Caten and Dan Caten.

Whenever Britney was on stage — she often ducked out to swap revealing costumes — she was in constant motion. She interacted with dancers and props in a seamlessly choreographed presentation that left little room for error. She consistently hit her marks; her only noticeable miscue was knocking off her fedora during “Get Naked.”

During “Piece of Me,” she cavorted within, atop and alongside a cage. For “Me Against the Music,” she sashayed in a sumptuous, Bollywood-style ensemble. Against the club pulse of “Get Naked,” she posed in an oversize picture frame as dancers ogled her — a play on the media’s Britney Spears obsession.

Her dancing was not as aerobic as in the past, but she held her own. In “Radar,” she fronted 11 dancers, perfectly in step. For “Do Something,” she wore a metallic gold swimsuit and wielded a spark-spewing angle grinder. In the final “Womanizer,” she donned the uniform of a sexy cop.

Here is the official music video for Britney Spears’ “Circus,” the title track from her sixth studio album, Circus. Watch the video and see photos ofthe pop superstar’s live performance of the track on ABC Good Morning America at The Big Apple Circus tent at Lincoln Center in New York City on her 27th birthday and album release date December 2, 2008. The music video will have its formal world premiere on Entertainment Tonight on December 5, 2008.

“Circus” is the album’s second single; it was written and produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. The music video was directed by Hollywood director Francis Lawrence (“I Am Legend”) who also directed music videos for the pop superstar’s landmark 2001 single, “I’m a Slave 4 U.”

The ultimate success of the comeback album is the subject of much speculation.

Billboard senior correspondent Ed Christman said Spears’ recent television appearances, the MTV special and several favorable reviews will likely help sales of the new album, even though sales are down 15 percent from last year. And while 300,000 sold is a modest number, he predicts Circus will sell more over time than Blackout has. [...]

According to Trakin, this year’s comeback feels more authentic than last year’s supposed return.

“Certainly, it seems she’s more prepared to come back,” he said. “Given what went down on the documentary, I think there are still questions about her stability, her stamina and her desire, as well. Those are certainly issues that need to be dealt with. But there’s still tremendous public interest in her. The media is pulling for her, and the critical reviews and word of mouth are certainly a lot better than last time. That will all help her sell records.”
