Here is the full Rihanna 20/20 video of her interview with Diane Sawyer on the ABC program on Nov. 6, 2009 in which she discussed the Chris Brown domestic violence incident which happened on Feb. 8 prior to the 2009 Grammy Awards.

She said of falling in love with R&B singer-songwriter Chris Brown, whom she described as her best friend, “The more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other, equally dangerous,” she said. “Because it was a bit of an obsession.”

She discussed the night of the attack and how it began, saying it began when he received a text message from another woman. “I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me and he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it because obviously his back was against the wall — the truth was right here in the text message. So, it accelerated towards him being violent towards me and it was ugly.”

She goes on to say of the attack, which she described in detail: “When is it going to stop? When is it going to stop?… He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked-out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

In revealing she returned to Brown after the attack she said saying: “It’s pretty natural for that to be the first reaction. The moment the physical wounds go away, you want the memories to go away….”Love doesn’t go away right away,” she says. “He didn’t accept that very well. Obviously he didn’t want us to be apart. But I had to make a decision for me.””

She also revealed that growing up she witnessed her father being physically abusive towards her mother.

Here is the full Chris Brown MTV interview, broadcast Nov. 6, 2009, conducted by Sway. It was R&B singer-songwriter’s most recent public discussion of the domestic violence incident in Feb. 2009 with former girlfriend pop star Rihanna, resulting in his guilty plea to felony assault charges and subsequent plea bargain and sentencing.

The interview was shot on Mon. Nov. 2, 2009 and was broadcast in as a special program entitled Chris Brown: The Interview just a few hours prior to Rihanna’s ABC 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer. Brief excerpts of her interview were shown on the MTV program, and he declined to speak in response, but rather released a statement which the host read as it was shown on screen:

“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us,” he said in the statement. “I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

He talked about the assault and what he had learned from it in the interview. He said he was “confused” about public perception. He went on to elaborate, “Like, I think with my fans, they still love me, they support me, definitely. You have those people who will support you. So it’s kinda like 50/50 for me. I got the people that will come out and support and then the people that don’t wanna see me do anything. They basically want me in jail.”

Excerpts of an interview he gave to Sway for MTV at age sixteen were shown in which he discussed the domestic violence he had witnessed growing up as a child. The program also features segments with developmental psychiatrist, Dr. Michelle Callahan, discussing teen domestic violence and underlying issues.

Chris Brown additionally discussed his public appeals to Rihanna via Twitter as well as the public apologies he has issued since the Feb incident, saying, “When I apologize, I really apologize, definitely, about the situation, like me and her personally, obviously…We’ve exchanged, I’ve exchanged my apologies for her, but when I do it publicly, it’s for who I’ve let down. It’s for the fans, it’s for all the people, even the sponsors. Even the people that have invested in me and thought that I was a good enough role model to be branded or to be like, ‘OK, this is Chris Brown.’ I really wanted to apologize for the people that I let down and show people that I am wrong for what I’ve done, but I want people to learn from it and see that I’m really apologetic.”

Here is the debut single from season 8 American Idol finalist Danny Gokey, It’s Only, lyrics, video and radio interview. The song debuted on Nov. 6, 2009 on Milwaukee country radio station, FM106.1. Here the song in its entirety along with the interview he gave during the premiere of the song.

In other news, the season 8 finalist recently performed at a media event marking the 15th anniversary of the L.A. Dream Center, which is an outreach organization located in Los Angeles which provides shelter, aid and relief to the needy and the homeless in inner city L.A. and nationwide. The organization’s founder, Matthew Barnett, announced that the L.A. Dream Center Youth Outreach Center will be named after Sophia Gokey, the singer’s late wife who died shortly before his American Idol audition in 2008, in recognition for his work for the organization, via the foundation, Sophia’s Heart, which he founded in memory of his wife. Here are National Geographic 2012: Countdown to Armageddon video and photos. The program airs on NGC on Sun., Nov. 8, 2009 at 10 pm ET/PT and will take a look at the Maya calendar prophesies of the world ending in 2012 and evidence which may or may not support them.

The documentary chronicles the investigation of Princeton University scientist Adam Maloof on three continents. Essentially it is a detective tale on a grand timeline of thousands of years, with clues to be found embedded in some of Earth’s oldest rocks.

Questions posed and explored include: Is there evidence of a global upheaval on a massive scale, such as depicted in the forthcoming 2012 movie, directed by Roland Emmerich? What can we learn from the technically advanced celestial orientation of the Maya ruins? What did the Maya hope to record in their extensive astronomy text known as the Dresden Codex? Does a discovery from a melting glacier reveal potential signs of devastating change in ancient Maya times?

Here are the Jay-Z 2010 Tour dates, in support of Blueprint 3, his 11th studio album. New North American dates were announced with rapper Young Jeezy as a supporting act. The itinerary below was announced directly after the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards which saw the multi-Grammy winning hip-hop icon win the Best Urban Act Award on Nov. 5.

Presently on tour on college campuses with a few remaining 2009 November dates, the Jay-Z tour will kick off again on Feb. 22, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Rolling Stone reports that additional tour dates for the New York City Metro area will be announced and are to include Uniondale, New York, East Rutherford, New Jersey. Here is the Mariah Carey Larry King Live video of her full interview Nov. 4, 2009 on the CNN talk show. The entire in-depth discussion was wide ranging, from a detailed look and film clips of Precious Based on the Movie Push by Sapphire in which she has a critically acclaimed role, to her married life to Nick Cannon, to her performance at the Michael Jackson memorial, and more in her first appearance on the program since 2002.

Noting that she was promoting both the movie as well as her 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, she acknowledging that she does want to have children, but that this is not the right time. She talked about her musical upbringing, her opera singer mother, reflected upon her legacy as the best female music artist, with more No. 1 hit single than any other solo artist, including Elvis Presley (most recently, Obsessed has become her 12th platinum selling single).

When the talk show host asked her if she had ever been abused, within the context of discussion of the Rihanna Chris Brown domestic violence incident, she said “Abuse has several categories,” and went on to acknowledge emotional abuse, saying that she would eventually talk about it when she wrote her book.
