The Hillary Clinton campaign has lost in votes, superdelegates, and, most decidedly, in viral video parodies and mashups. Watch the “Sunset Boulevard” parody and original scene from the 1950 Billy Wilder film noir classic with Gloria Swanson and Erich von Stroheim. Although Cecil B. DeMille does not appear in this scene, the movie is notable for its rare on screen appearance by Cecil B. DeMille, as himself.

A Hillary Clinton mashup: “Downfall” (”Der Untergang”) the 2004 movie about Hitler’s last days in the bunker. It’s probably not the viral video pop culture reference Hillary Clinton was hoping for. “The voters have stolen my nomination!” the Hillary-Hitler shouts, in the subtitles. The rest of the subtitles are quite a bit more a bit more profane and NSFW. Hilarious and disturbing.

Cobra Commander (of the G.I Joe universe) launches his viral video bid with “Yes, We Shall” Music Video - Vote Cobra ‘08, an amazing parody of will.i.am’s “Yes We Can” video for Barack Obama . It shows that the “Yes We Can” genre works equally well for the ruthless candidate who seeks absolute power and world dominance.
(Being a fictional character, we suspect Cobra Commander may be subject to speculation, as was John McCain, as to whether or not he is a natural born citizen.)
