Here is the Mariah Carey Ellen DeGeneres video of her Nov. 4, 2009 interview on the daytime talk show. The lively chat covered a range of topics from her marriage to Nick Cannon to her appearance in the critically acclaimed movie, Precious Based on the Movie Push by Sapphire.

The interview also found the host reflecting upon the success of the superstar as the best female music artist of all time whose single Obsessed has become her 12th platinum selling single, and is the lead single from her 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, while branching out again into acting. With the movie soon to be released in theater, Mariah Carey discussed her role in the movie as a social worker who tries to help the movie’s title character, Precious, a teenager who has faced unfathomable hardships and abuse. Photos were shown revealing Carey famously unrecognizable in the unglamorous role.

Here is the Mariah Carey Jay Leno video of her Nov. 2, 2009 interview on the show. She discussed her role in the movie Precious (photos from the Hollywood premiere above and below), as well as her marriage to Nick Cannon and her 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and its platinum-selling single Obsessed.

She talked about her critically acclaimed de-glamorized role as a social worker helping the title character, a troubled teenager, in the movie whose full title is Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire and a film clip was shown during the interview. Previously at the movie’s premiere in Hollywood, she said in an interview, reflecting upon her success with this movie, versus the critically panned 2001 movie Glitter.

“Being here is definitely a milestone. But I had one milestone that almost had me under this stone,” Carey told us as the AFI screening of “Precious” on Sunday night. “I didn’t realize you really have to be selective with the people that you work with and you have to have that support system and you have to work with people that you feel are geniuses.”

She reflected upon taking on an uncharacteristic and unglamorous role in the movie and what it has meant to her.

“This was such a liberating experience and yet humiliating. But I needed that,” Carey said. “We all need that, we need to understand how to be humble and it’s a difficult business to do that in. But I’m definitely inspired to work out of my comfort zone after this.”

Ne-Yo Never Knew I Needed Video: The Princess and the Frog Soundtrack Track-List, Cover Art

Here is the official Ne-Yo Never Knew I Needed video and lyrics. The song is from The Princess and the Frog soundtrack (track-list and cover art below) of the Disney animated movie which will open in theaters on Dec. 11, 2009. The album will be released Nov. 23.

The movie soundtrack was composed and conducted by Randy Newman, with Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo’s contribution to the pop single of the movie which has been released to radio since Oct. 14, 2009.

The highly anticipated movie is set in New Orleans and features the first ever African-American princess, Tiana (voice actress Anika Noni Rose), as the star of a Disney animated theatrical motion picture. It is also is the first from the company using hand-animation in six years, rather than computer-generated animation (CGI).

The Wall Street Journal notes that the movie also follows the traditional format of a Broadway musical and quotes producer Peter Del Vecho who considers this a selling point:

“There is a whole new generation now that hasn’t experienced a great musical, hasn’t experienced a big, epic fairy tale.”

Here are Michael Jackson This Is It reviews and premiere photos and video from the red carpet at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Oct. 27, 2009, and 16 additional premieres worldwide, including London, Beijing and Berlin, marking the start of the limited run and worldwide release of the highly anticipated movie.

The documentary was directed by Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) who was the concert director for what would have been MJ’s This Is It 50-concert residency in O2 Arena in London of which the movie is a chronicle. Here is a round-up of movie reviews:

Differing greatly from the rough, casual mood of many behind-the-scenes pop docs, this one is instead of a piece with Jackson’s body of work: dazzling and strange, blurring the line between fantasy and reality.

As a tragic teaser for the shows that might have been, “This Is It” hurts. If Jackson had been able to perform as he frequently does during these scenes, he would have accomplished the comeback for which he was so hungry.

Here is the Michael Jackson This Is It track-list; the highly anticipated movie soundtrack album, will be released on Oct. 27, 2009. The new song and title track will be unveiled at midnight, 12am ET on Oct. 12, 2009 on the official MichaelJackson.com Web site. The previously unreleased song serves as the album’s lead single and features backing vocals from the late King of Pop’s brothers, The Jacksons.

Additional unreleased material on the album includes Michael Jackson’s spoken word poem, Planet Earth, which appears on Disc 2 along with previously unreleased arrangements of classic songs according to Rolling Stone which goes on to note that two different versions of the new song will be included; one which plays during the ending of the movie and an orchestral version. Here is a first look at the highly anticipated Adam Lambert Time for Miracles video from the 2012 movie soundtrack. The epic disaster movie directed by Roland Emmerich. The power ballad from the season 8 American Idol runner up has been long awaited and is featured in a behind-the-scenes featurette and trailer.

Yeah, you should look out for Adam Lambert. I’ve done, as of now, and it could change, but as of now, four songs for his album. I’ve never watched American Idol until this year. Ironically, I’ve worked with enough of them you think I would have, but I never had. But this year I saw that guy and thought, “Man this guy’s out of his mind, it’s amazing.” Finally something different. This guy doesn’t care. I love it, and so I did four songs with him. I’m not going to say what the single is. I’m actually trying to find out what the first single is right now. I’ll just say I’ve got these two now that are in contention.
