Some attribute penguins flying to their adaptation to global warming. Could it be the penguins fly because they are tired of not getting the plum roles their flying counterparts have been getting over the years? Or could it be that penguins, like humans, have an appreciation for humor? Perhaps in their culture they celebrate their own version of April Fools Day.
And we thought “March of the Penguins” was dramatic…..

Shallow Nation commemorates April Fools Day with a linkfest. There are countless April Fools pranks and April Fools jokes and only 24 hours to celebrate! Google has already started with Gmail custom time.
April Fools Day has a song, too. Enjoy Dionne Warwick singing the Bacharach/David classic, “The April Fools” from the 1969 movie, “The April Fools,” starring Catherine Deneuve and Jack Lemmon.
