Foo Fighters performed in support of their ninth studio album, ‘Concrete and Gold,’ which was released in September via RCA Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and received widespread critical acclaim. It’s their first new album since ‘Sonic Highways’ which was released in 2014 along with a documentary series of the same title that premiered on HBO.
The band has had numerous appearances as the SNL musical guest dating back to their debut on the show in 1995 and most recently in 2011. This time around, they performed ‘The Sky Is a Neighborhood’ from the new album.
They also performed a special Christmas rendition of their smash hit, ‘Everlong’ which is from their sophomore studio album, ‘The Colour and the Shape,’ which was released 20 years ago, in 1997. Transitioning the band then delivered a Christmas medley which included “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
