Green Day on ‘GMA’ (Video) Live Concert Performance in Central Park

Here’s the video of Green Day on ‘Good Morning America.’ See the full live concert performance and interview by the iconic multi-Grammy winning punk rock band, kicking off the GMA Summer Concert Series in Rumsey Field in Central Park in New York City. The replay and more details are below.

Green Day performed in support of their latest album, ‘Revolution Radio.’ Their 12th album, it was released last October — debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It’s received widespread critical acclaim and landed on Rolling Stone’s 50 top albums list for the year. The band is on a world tour of the same title.

In the live interview with GMA co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, the band members — were asked about their decades of success and numerous accolades including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said, “It’s been a long, strange trip. It’s been almost 30 years, or something like that. We’re on this new tour right now for revolution radio, and I can’t think of a better time to be in Green Day.”

Asked about the inspiration behind ‘Still Breathing,’ the hit single from the album, Armstrong said, “Right now, with all things considered, you’ve got to count your blessings and think about what it’s like to be alive.”
