Zac Brown Band performed in support of their fifth studio album, ‘Welcome Home,’ which was released earlier this month via Elektra Records to nearly universal critical acclaim. The highly anticipated album is their first new album since 2015’s ‘Jekyll + Hyde’ which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was also critically acclaimed.

In the brief interview with co-anchors Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie and fourth hour co-anchor Hoda Kotb, frontman Zac Brown was asked about the new album. He said in part, “We set out to write a really personal record.” He went on to note that the album was recorded in six days.

Asked about the receptiveness of fans, he said, “I’m always reminded of how blessed we are…We come out and have all the love and feel all the love. We love to give it back.”

They performed ‘My Old Man’ which is the lead single of the new album as well as their classic No. 1 hit ‘Homegrown’ from their previous album ‘Jekyll + Hyde.’ They also performed ‘Family Table,’ a song from the new album.
