Here’s the full video of Vice President Mike Pence on ‘Today Show.’ In a live interview with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt he spoke about President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress and the vision and agenda that he had laid out in the speech, including the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. The interview was broadcast originally on March 1, 2017, a day after President Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress.

When asked about the President’s “much softer tone” and whether he or others had counseled him “to bring it back a bit,” VP Mike Pence said, “I would say that the President I saw last night is the President I’ve seen every day since I joined this campaign. He’s a fighter.”

He added, “Maybe it was just the context — and the unique nature of the address to a joint session — that the American people got a look at the President in full. They saw his strength, they saw his compassion, they saw his determination to move this country forward with optimism. And I couldn’t be more proud to be some small part.”
