It debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, his first No. 1 debut since 1987’s ‘ Whenever You Need Somebody.’ It’s his first new album since 2005’s ‘Portrait’ and his first U.S. release since 1993’s ‘Body and Soul.’

Rick Astley — whose career saw a resurgence in the Aughts with the ‘Rickrolling’ meme which used his iconic 1980s hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up — performed another one of his 1980s smash hits, ‘Together Forever’ live in studio before an enthusiastic audience at the Times Square Studio.

He’s currently on a sold-out headlining tour in support of the new album ’50.’ The U.S. leg of the tour wraps on February 18 at the House of Blues in Boston, and the European leg kicks of on March 18th in Manchester, UK.

The performance was broadcast originally on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
