Video: Kanye West: Glastonbury Performance Interrupted by Stage Crasher

Kanye West

Here’s the video of Kanye West’s live performance at Glastonbury being interrupted by a stage crasher, comedian Lee Nelson who later Tweeted about it. See the video, photos and find out more on the incident which has gone viral on social media; details are below after the jump.

Video is above. Lee Nelson, wearing a “Lee-Zus” T-shirt, mocking the title of Kanye West’s album, Yeezus, is seen on stage briefly before security takes him away.

Kanye West, of course, is infamous for having crashed the stage as Taylor Swift was about to accept the Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards, took the microphone and declared that Beyonce should have won. He repeated the same antics at the 2015 Grammy Awards when Beck won Album of the Year and West thought, again, Beyonce was deserving of the Award.

As noted Lee Nelson — stage name of Simon Brodkin — Tweeted about the incident and you can see the Tweet below. He made reference to the controversy over Kanye West’s headlining appearance at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival, which saw an online petition garner more than 100,000 signatures of people demanding cancellation.
