Mariah Carey ‘Almost Home’ Music Video (Official Premiere): ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Movie Soundtrack

Here is the Mariah Carey ‘Almost Home’ video. The official music video had its premiere on March 8, 2013 in support of the ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ theme song from the movie soundtrack by the multi-Grammy winning music superstar. Watch the full video above. It was directed by David LaChapelle. Mariah Carey appears in the clip in a series of black-and-white sequences intertwined with scenes of the movie which was directed by Sam Raimi, based on L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz books, and starring James Franco in the title role and also starring Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.

As Billboard.com reports, Mariah Carey, who co-wrote and co-produced the song had this to say of it:

“‘Almost Home’ has a message that works beautifully with the film,” Mariah Carey says. “It’s a feel-good record; it gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love.”

In addition to her contribution to the soundtrack album, fans can look forward to her highly anticipated new album which will be released in May, her first since Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, released in 2009.
