The full interview video is above. Preceding the live interview was a video profile of their sightseeing trip in London with NBC’s Jenna Bush Hager, which was part of their celebration after several days of competition. During their trip they had a chance to meet the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

In the live interview with Savannah Guthrie the team reflected upon their historic gold medal in team competition — the second women’s gymnastic team to win, after the Magnificent Seven in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. They also addressed their individual achievements and notoriety such as Gabby Douglas on the cover of People magazine and McKayla Maroney, whose photo on the podium with a silver medal for the individual women’s vaulting competition has become an Internet meme due to her facial expression of dissatisfaction.

Noting that they had all said they were fans of Justin Bieber, Savannah Guthrie surprised them by showing them a video from the teen music superstar featuring one of his backup dancers doing a tumbling routine followed by his personal greeting and congratulations to the team members.
