Sally Pearson represents Australia, and both Dawn Harper (the defending 2008 Beijing gold medalist) and Kellie Wells represent the U.S. in the race. Lolo Jones came in fourth place and was interviewed separately, addressing media criticism of her (video here).
Pearson set an Olympic record with a time of 12.35 seconds. The trio of medalists discussed their experience of running such a close race in which Pearson edged out Harper by a mere 0.02 seconds and the winner was not immediately announced, and Pearson reflected on her joyful reaction once she knew she had won. Asked if the race itself went by quickly, Pearson said it seem to go by slowly.
