Here is the Carrie Underwood ‘Blown Away’ video. The official music video had its premiere on July 30, 2012 on E! News and E! Online in support of the lead single of the multi-Grammy winning country singer-songwriter and season 4 American Idol winner’s fourth studio album, Blown Away.

Watch the full video above. According to Eonline.com the music video deliberately evokes imagery and story lines from the iconic film The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland as Dorothy.

“We wanted to create this modern-day, tragic Wizard of Oz mini-movie,” the singer said in this behind-the-scenes interview from the set of the video.

Carrie Underwood portrays a woman suffering abuse from her father. As a storm looms over the horizon and draws closer, he is eventually ‘blown away’ by a tornado, thus setting her free.

Blown Away’debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it Carrie Underwood’s third album to top the chart upon debut. In the behind-the-scenes video below, she talks about the title track, and what it means to her.
