The live performance and interview with ABC’s Lara Spencer and Sam Champion in Central Park’s Rumsey Field in New York City was part of the GMA Summer Concert Series, in support of the Grammy winning band’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Push and Shove.’ Details and replay video are below.

The highly anticipated album ‘Push and Shove’– the first in more than 10 years from No Doubt — will be released on September 25, 2012; ‘Settle Down’ is the album’s lead single. The new music is the first release in more than a decade and reunited the original band members including frontwman Gwen Stefani and Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal, and Adrian Young.

In the interview with Lara Spencer and Sam Champion band members talked about the new album and their years of performing together, dating back to the 1980s. Asked about the title of the album, “Any relationship is back and forth. We’re like a family here and there’s push and shove. But on stage there’s no push and shove.”

Tom Dumont added, “We have so much fun doing this, we pinch ourselves.”

Asked how lyrics have changed. Gwen Stefani said, “It’s not all fun on the record; there’s something to complain about. It was hard to find the time with those two little bunny rabbits I made,” she added, alluding to her two young children. “It took a long time but it was worth it.”

Asked about ‘Settle Down,’ the new single, she said, “It was the third song we wrote,” and went on to say she said she had a hard time getting into the writing after the birth of her second child. She said the song was all about working it out.

Band members have eight children between all of them, and noted that all of them were in New York City with them.

Song list for the concert included the new single, ‘Settle Down,’ as well as their classic smash it ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Underneath It All’ and ‘Spiderwebs.’
