Here is the Ryan Seacrest Today Show video from Weds. April 4, 2012. In the live interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, he made an announcement about his future plans and role with NBC News as well as his many current professional commitments in radio and reality TV.

The highly anticipated interview in Studio 1A began with some joking around about whether or not the rumors and unconfirmed reports were true that Ryan Seacrest would be taking over as co-anchor replacing Matt Lauer. Seacrest quipped, “Oh, they didn’t tell you? I see you doing this for as long as you want to so maybe the question is, how long will you be on the Today show?”

Later in the interview, Lauer said of the banter, “Ryan and I are friendly. We’ve joked about this.” Next came the announcement that Ryan Seacrest, would continue with his many reality TV programs on the E! network which is owned by the same company, NBC Universal, as NBC and that he will be joining the NBC family in primetime and he will take part in the network’s coverage of the London 2012 Olympics.

He went on to discuss some of his current ventures including host of American Idol, of which he said, “I plan to be there. It’s a circus to run and I enjoy it.”
