In Alabama, Santorum was declared the projected winner, with former Gov. Mitt Romney coming in second, former Speaker Newt Gingrich third, and Rep. Ron Paul fourth. Later in the evening, he was also declared projected winner in Mississippi, with Gingrich second, Romney third and Paul fourth.
