Lindsay Lohan Today Show Video March 1, 2012 Interview with Matt Lauer

Lindsay Lohan

Here is the Lindsay Lohan Today Show video from Thurs. March 1, 2012. Watch the full interview by NBC’s Matt Lauer with the actress, addressing a range of topics including her past troubles as well as her current plans for a comeback. More details and vid are below after the jump.

Asked how she had become wiser from her experiences, Lindsay Lohan said, “I think it’s just you know, the process of learning and going through certain experiences. and I’ve certainly seen a lot and I’ve grown. I’ve just kind of learned how to live my life in a way that I’m happy and I can do the things that I want to do.” She went on to discuss how much she wanted to resume her acting career, saying, “I think I like being on set. I like making films. I like doing this kind of stuff and having positive things to talk about and I kind of lost sight of that.”

In reflecting on the past few years, she said: “I think that it gets very lonely in this industry, because you’re constantly with people and then you’re alone. So I just allowed a lot of people to be around me at all times and i don’t think they were necessarily there for the right reasons and I wasn’t concerned with that. I think I was being a bit ignorant towards the fact that maybe I should not go out all the time. Maybe I should rest. Maybe I should start to grow up and take care of myself.”

On her upcoming professional commitments including hosting Saturday Night Live on March 3, 2012 of which she said, “I think that it’s actions. Because people can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with ‘SNL,’ being on time, being, you know, keeping my — can’t say the word — but stuff together.”

She also talked her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic movie, Liz and Dick, saying, “We’re in the middle of casting and figuring — we start production soon…I’ve been doing tons of research. But I’ve always kind of researched her. She’s always been a fascinating woman to me. So I’m really honored. And I will not let anyone down, especially myself.”
