The highly anticipated DVD is a chronicle of Beyonce’s four live concerts at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom in August 2011. In the interview, which was conducted at Roseland on West 52nd Street in Manhattan, she addressed a range of topics including those concert performances, her career and her pregnancy.
Here are some excerpts from the conversation.
On her decision to reveal her baby bump at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, at the end of her live performance:
“Physically I was starting to show, so it was only a matter of days before someone zoomed in. So I just wanted it to be from me, and I wanted it to be something that was a celebration of something so beautiful. And I didn’t want to release a picture or a statement. I figured the biggest statement was to — just be.”
She declined to reveal a birth date, but did address speculation and rumors about her cravings and allegations that she was faking the baby bump and the pregnancy, fueled in part by her appearance on “Sunday Night HD.”, a TV talk show in Australia.
“There are certain things that are so far [out] … it doesn’t even upset you,” Knowles said. Other rumors do take a toll, Knowles said, but on her protective family more than on her.
