I thought this was one of the most pourly directed debates out of all of them. Short sound bites, short sound bites. Don’t let anyone say much. This may have occasional value in showing whether candidates are “sharp and on their feet” but the format was very poor and did not serve the audience well. The candidates were not disappointing. The moderators however were.
I am sick and tired of the interruption of the candidates’ answers. It is to the point of rudeness. I also do not like to have to watch this debate on the internet. If you do not believe the debates are important let other stations who believe they are important to the American public hold these elections. Finally, do not assume you know the answers. It comes across as lip service to the candidates. You have a fine group of candidates but they are being shortchanged by the arrogance of your questions by not giving them the opportunity to answer. Additionally, while I do not agree with everything Congresswoman Bachman has to say, she has the right to say it. You, Mr. Scott Pelley, were absolutely rude to her. Of course, since she is a Republican woman you will not be held accountable. You would have been held accountable had she been a Democrat! Watch how you come across to the viewing audience. I am tired of your double standard. Now the one thing I DID LIKE about your show is the opportunity for the Senators from South Carolina to ask questions. Thank you for considering them.
