Obama Speech Video: Jan. 28, 2011 Address at Families USA 16th Annual Health Action Conference
I strongly believe that health care reform would lower the cost of heath insurance but the cost is still high when a simple visit to the doctor cost to the insurance $200-250 for a ten minute doctor time and the co-pay of a one month treatment of one single prescription is $30 and the insurance can pay $100, my question How can you lower these cost and tackle healthcare lobby in USA.
My suggestion would be like in Europe Pharmaceutical companies must submit a dossier to the FDA to negotiate the selling price in term of benefit for the patient. This involve the contribution of independent consultants.
I have experience in this matter that I would like to share with the FDA.
Same thing with physician’s fees.
Health care and education profits should be controlled by the government by law and any excess will finance the nation long term debt.
As President Obama has grant 100 millions of dollars to Great Philadelphia initiative, does this have an impact on tuition fees?
I will make the same remark with private and “state” universities who spend more money on developing housing instead of research facilities. The former is a significant part of the tuitions and benefit only to some private investors.
As I understood in President Obama speeches, we must protect American families, patients and students who are our future.
I said.
