Here is the Obama speech video from Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011. President Barack Obama makes a personnel announcement on William Daley, appointed White House Chief of Staff, replacing interim chief Pete Rouse. President Obama will announce the appointment of William Daley, former Commerce Secretary during the Clinton administration and brother of Chicago mayor Richard Daley. He replaces and Pete Rouse who assumed the position upon the departure of Rahm Emanuel who resigned to pursue his candidacy for mayor of Chicago. Rouse will be elevated to the position of counsel to the president.
