Prior to delivering remarks on the economy, the President will tour the facilities at Stromberg Metal Works Inc. in the Washington, DC suburb, Beltsville, MD. In his speech he will propose that businesses be permitted to take immediate tax deductions for the full cost of new equipment, amounting to $150 billion in tax relief to foster job creation and help economic recovery by encouraging approximately $50 billion in new investments through 2011.
