The President will speak about the newly released September 2010 jobs numbers after his tour of Ernest Maier, Inc., a small business in Bladensburg, Maryland. According to the Labor Dept. report, a net total of 95,000 jobs were lost during the month, with the private sector adding 64,000 jobs and local governments cutting jobs 76,000. Additionally, 77,000 U.S. Census jobs ended last month. The unemployment rate has held steady at 9.6 percent, representing approximately 14.8 million unemployed individuals.
