President Barack Obama makes a personnel announcement on Rahm Emanuel’s departure as White House Chief of Staff, and appointment of Pete Rouse as replacement. According to White House officials, in a statement to the press, President Obama will announce the departure Rahm Emanuel and will appoint Pete Rouse as his acting chief of staff. Presently, Rouse is a White House senior adviser and he previously served as the President’s chief of staff during his tenure in the Senate. It is being reported that Emanuel, who has previously been a member of Congress, will run for mayor of Chicago.
