President Obama’s appearance in Columbus kicks off the Recovery Summer campaign, which puts a focus on jobs which have been created in infrastructure projects across the nation. According to the Columbus Dispatch, the President will speak to workers at the 10,000th road project funded by federal stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Recipient of $15 million from the federal government, the project is expected to create 325 construction jobs and is an upgrade of Parsons and Livingston Avenues near the expansion of Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
