The Doritos Super Bowl 2010 commercial (video below), Underdog, featuring a man, a dog bark collar, and a very smart dog, has been named No. 2 on the USA Today Super Bowl Ad Meter. The company ran four ads, and of these it was the consumer-created ad, by Joshua Svoboda, which proved most popular and won the prize of $600,000.

In a statement, Rudy Wilson, vice president of marketing at Frito-Lay said: “”What a testament of power to the people. Doritos fans have shown us that they have the passion and creativity to compete with seasoned professionals in any industry, and they literally just gave Madison Avenue a run for its money, so we’re giving them the payout they deserve.
