Here is the official Boyzone Gave It All Away video and lyrics in support of the single, featuring vocals from the late Stephen Gately, which is from the Irish boy band’s forthcoming album, Brother, their first album of new material since 1998′s Where We Belong. The song was written by pop singer-songwriter Mika and the music video pays tribute to the late group member who died in Oct. 2009.
Surviving members of the group are Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch. Keating discussed the music video in an interview with The Guardian:
“There’s a nice scene of us four ‘brothers’ sat around a table … with Stephen’s favourite picture hanging up behind us. [Director] Phil [Griffin] just filmed us fly-on-the-wall for that so it’s just us as we are.” The video shows archive footage of Gately intercut with shots of the band members writing letters to their “other brother”. “It’s us reminiscing about the good times and the laughter.”
