Sarah Palin: Fox News Contributor

Sarah Palin is a Fox News contributor, the network has announced. The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate will make appearances on various programs on the cable channel as a commentator.

She is also to be host of an occasional program which will chronicle inspirational stories of ordinary Americans, according to The Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz. [Source: Palin signs on with Fox News]

According to The Swamp, Bill Shine, who is executive vice president of programming at the Fox News Channel, made the announcement saying:

Gov. Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup.”

For her part, the former governor said:

“I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News,” Palin said in a statement released by the network. “It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.”
