Here are the Obama terrorism speech video and transcript from Dec. 28, 2009 from Kaneohe Marine Base in Hawaii. President Barack Obama delivered remarks on airline security and terror watch lists in response to the actions of alleged terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab of Nigeria, aboard Detroit-bound flight Northwest Airlines 253 on Christmas Day.

UPDATE: The President delivered additional remarks on airport security on Dec. 29; transcript and video of that speech is also below.

The President noted that he had ordered a review of the airline screening process and additionally had spoken with he spoke with Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and his counterterrorism chief, John Brennan. He went on to say: “We do not yet have all the answers about this latest attempt, but those who would slaughter innocent men, women and children must know that the United States will more — do more than simply strengthen our defenses. We will continue to use every element of our national power to disrupt, to dismantle and defeat the violent extremists who threaten us, whether they are from Afghanistan or Pakistan, Yemen or Somalia, or anywhere where they are plotting attacks against the U.S. homeland.”

Additionally, he addressed the political unrest and violence in Iran.
