The Princess and the Frog soundtrack album (track-list below) of the highly anticipated Disney animated movie has been released. The movie will be in theaters on Dec. 11, 2009. Find out more and see the animated video of Never Knew I Needed, the lead single, performed by Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.
Academy-Award nominated Randy Newman is the composer of the album, which was released on Walt Disney Records. He has composed soundtracks for previous Disney animated movies including Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, and Monsters, Inc.
The full-length, big screen animated feature stars Tiana (voiced by actress Anika Noni Rose ) as the first-ever African-American princess to star in a Walt Disney animated movie, and is set in 1930s New Orleans. The movie is crafted with hand-animation rather than CGI (computer-generated animation) and as such the first for the company in six years. More details on the movie here: The Princess and the Frog
