Susan Boyle Today Show Video 11-23-09 [Live Performance]

Susan Boyle performs on the NBC Today Show at Rockefeller Center in New York

Here is the Susan Boyle Today Show video of her Nov. 23, 2009 live performance on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center in support of her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream. She performed the lead single, Wild Horses, a cover of the Rolling Stones’ song as well as the title track and Cry Me a River, accompanied by a string orchestra.

Thereafter she was briefly interviewed by Meredith Viera and Matt Lauer. She said she had “a bit of assistance” in picking the songs on her album, acknowledging that she wanted variety. She dedicated her album to her mother whom she called “very unique and very caring” noting that she had always encouraged her musical pursuit.

Also posted below is an excerpt of Matt Lauer’s People of the Year interview with the singer in which she reflected upon her meteoric rise to global stardom this year, her makeover, as well as the bullying she suffered as a child. [More on that here: Susan Boyle Talks of Bullies and Beatings]
