The newest album from legendary R&B group Boyz II men, Love (track-list and album cover art below) was released on Nov. 17, 2009. See a behind the scenes video and find out more.
The new album was produced by Grammy Award winning producer and American Idol judge Randy Jackson, who also produced the group’s previous album of covers, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA, released in 2007 and Grammy nominated. The lead single is “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” originally recorded by Bonnie Raitt. Additionally, the album includes a duet with Michael Buble on the standard When I Fall In Love. The multi-Grammy Award winning group comprised of Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris, has been recording since the late 1980s and with estimated worldwide sales of more than 60 million albums and singles, is considered the best selling R&B male vocal group of all time.
CNN recently interviewed the group. Regarding the album, Wanya Morris said:
The title embodies everything that Boyz II Men represents. Every album we have ever done has always had a representation of love.
We tried to reach and delve inside of this album and to not just go with the sound, but also the lyrical content that embodies that representation of love
Regarding the challenge of recording an album of covers, Nate Morris said:
Oh yes. There are so many people that have listened to these songs and fallen in love with the song as it was originally performed.
We know that these songs have a fan base. We try to put our interpretation with how we think the song should be without swinging too far away from the solid concrete melody.
