Here is the Taylor Swift Saturday Night Live video of Nov. 7, 2009. She was host and musical guest, performing an opening Monologue Song (La, La, La), and the SNL Digital Short: Firelight (Twilight spoof) and, as expected alluding to the Kanye West MTV Video Music Awards Incident, and appearing in several skits.
She sang: You might be expecting me to say/ something bad about Kanye…but there’s nothing more to say/ cause everything’s ok/ I’ve got security lining the stage…” Her lyrics also addressed ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas – “You might think I’d bring up Joe, that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him in my monologue – Hey Joe, I’m doing real well. Tonight, I’m hosting SNL but I’m not gonna brag about that in my monologue. La la la. Ha ha ha. La la la.”
Also the Taylor Lautner, rumors as well: and if you’re wondering if I might/ be dating the werewolf from “Twilight”/ I’m not going to comment on that in my monologue,” although she did mockingly whisper hello and blow a kiss. She concluded, saying, “We have a great show. Kanye West is not here.”

The promos had already alluded to jokes that would ensue, with the country music star and SNL’s Bill Hader side by side. “Hey, I’m Taylor Swift and I’ll be the host and musical guest this week on ‘SNL,’” “Whoop, Kanye West just called, he thinks Beyonce should host,” quips. “Funny joke, right? Aside from furthering the VMAs mime, her double duty as host and musical guest on the NBC comedy show is in support of the re-release of her 2008 multi-platinum selling album, under the title Fearless Platinum Edition, with six new songs and a DVD.
