Here is the Andrew Bird Jimmy Fallon video from Oct. 30, 2009 along with tour dates for 2009-2010. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist appeared on the late night show and performed Anonanimal from his fourth solo studio album, Noble Beast.
In support of the critically acclaimed album, he has recently announced new tour dates for North America, including performances in churches which are dubbed gezelligheid, a Dutch word loosely translated into English as “coziness.” According to a statement, these performances will be presented in ambient light, replacing the traditional overhead lighting in the churches.
He states: “I want the audience to be both lifted and comforted as we head into another cold and dark winter,” he said in a statement. “I feel the space should be sacred so the audience can experience my music in a different atmosphere.”
