The eleventh studio album from Bon Jovi, The Circle, (track-list below) and a DVD, When We Were Beautiful, will be released on Nov. 10, 2009. Find out more and see the We Weren’t Born to Follow video of the lead single below as well as video from the band’s recent concert at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.
The forthcoming album was produced by John Shanksand. The legendary rock band recently announced a two-year world tour in support of The Circle. (See: Bon Jovi Tour Dates 2010). The special edition will include a DVD of the documentary “When We Were Beautiful,” by filmmaker Phil Griffin which had its world premiere at the 2009 TriBeCa Film Festival and its cable television debut on Showtime on Oct. 24. It is a retrospective of the band’s distinguished legacy which dates back to the early 1980s as well as a chronicle of their Lost Highway tour of 2007-2008. Making headlines is the band’s revelation that they enlisted the help of a psychiatrist to remain together as a band. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi is quoted as saying of the decision:
, “Aerosmith’s manager … told us about this guy named Lou Cox; he had no ulterior motive, no commissions [were] involved. He came in and got us to just speak [to each other] better than anyone else could have.” He goes on to credit Cox with keeping the band intact, exclaiming, “He was our saving grace and that was our big secret for years and years …”
