John Mayer Heartbreak Warfare Video, Lyrics (Official)

Here is the official Augmented Reality created John Mayer Heartbreak Warfare video and lyrics in support of the track from his forthcoming studio album Battle Studies which will be released on Nov. 17, 2009.

According to AceShowBiz.com it is the first music video incorporating the new technology which enables it to be viewed in 3-D.

“It’s very exciting. It’s a completely 3-D, immersive experience you have,” John previously told Wired from the set of the video shoot. “It’s moving from this very casual guy in the room, to the middle of the song, where I transition to being on a battlefield.”

“In keeping with the ‘Heartbreak Warfare’ battlefield theme, I end up entering this really cool, otherworldly universe of falling bombs, bright colors and things just stemming and growing and blossoming and blooming…”

Battle Studies is Mayer’s first album since his double-platinum selling 2006 album, Continuum. He served as co-producer along with Steve Jordan, who, as drummer is a member of the John Mayer trio, (along with bassist Pino Palladino). Its lead single, Who Says, has drawn attention for its opening line — “Who says I can’t get stoned” — and the singer-songwriter discussed the song in an exclusive interview with PopEater.

“It’s not a dirty word. It’s not a curse word…It’s a presentation of an idea that makes people think a little harder about what they’re listening to, which I don’t think is the worst thing in the world.”
