Adam Lambert and Kris Allen at the Today Show in New York City

The title and track-list of the American Idol Kris Allen debut album, released on November 17, 2009 are not yet revealed. In addition to the lead single, Live Like We’re Dying, three songs are said to be included on the Season 8 winner’s new album: Written All Over Your Face, Before We Come Undone, and I Need To Know.

Here are additional details on the songs as reported by Entertainment Weekly’s Micheal Slezak and Kristen Baldwin via MJSBigBlog:

* Written All Over Your Face” is penned by the peeps who wrote “Live Like We’re Dying.” [The Script] Slezak describes it as “wordy and catchy.” Kris heard the song early on, along with “Live Like We’re Dying” and loved it. He said it will probably make the album.

* “Before We Come Undone” is a song Kris wrote that with Lindy Robbins and Greg Kursten (Lily Allen, Flaming Lips, Beck). The track is unfinished. “We’re going to do some tweaks to it to make it better,” he adds, “The lyrics are…not so happy.”

* “I Need To Know”–a song Kris wrote–is his favorite of the songs he’s recorded so far, according to an interview with New York radio station, WPLJ.

Additionally, PopEater has more details via an extensive interview with the season 8 American Idol. Regarding the already released lead single, Live Like We’re Dying, he said:

“Producers Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner, Danny O’Donoghue and Mark Sheehan wrote the song. Originally The Script released this song previously as like a B-side track in Germany. I found all that stuff out afterward… But we thought this song would be a good introduction to the new album. Sometimes we forget that we have one life. This is it. At times, we forget about the nicer things that make life worth living — like relationships or nature. It’s a great message.”

He goes on to share his thoughts about post-Idol life and a range of topics. The full interview along with photos can be seen here: Kris Allen Chats ‘Idol,’ His New Album and Why He’s Pro-Ellen DeGeneres
