Here is the Keri Hilson Jimmy Fallon video of her September 18, 2009 performance. Additionally she appeared on the Today Show the same day. See both videos here. Along with The Roots, she performed Slow Dance on the late night talk show. It is the fifth single from her debut album, In a Perfect World….

In the Today Show interview, she discussed her debut album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart (in addition to producing the hit single Knock You Down), saying, “I am definitely living the dream that I had since I was a little girl.”

Asked by the co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb why she stepped out to become a performer after years of being an in-house songwriter for other artists, she said, she said she had gotten “content behind the board, but unfulfilled.”

She also talked about the hit single Knock You Down with Ne-Yo and Kanye West, noting that the latter’s contribution was literally a last minute addition to the song and arose after the filming of the Make Love promotional video for the album. Additional guest appearances on the album include Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, and Akon with Plow da Don and Timbaland serving as the main producers.
