Here is the Shakira Jimmy Kimmel Live video. The Colombian pop star’s performances of her international hit She Wolf was broadcast on September 19, 2009 on the ABC late night talk show and taped four days earlier on the 15th. She Wolf is both the title track and lead single of her highly anticipated studio album which will be released on October 13, 2009. She also performed Did It Again from the new album.
The new album is the first in three years for the Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter best known for her hit single Hips Don’t Lie with Wyclef Jean. The new single was co-written and co-produced with John Hill (Santigold). Regarding the song, she revealed in an interview with Hollyscoop.
“[She Wolf is] the woman of our time. It’s not only me, it’s you, it’s every woman out there wanting to defendour liberties. I think that freedom is the safest road to happiness.” She continued, “I feel more like a She Wolf than ever before.”
Regarding the album as a whole she said:
“It’s a very electronic album, very dance oriented, and it’s fun. I just want people to have fun. If I can contribute to that in any sort of way, I will feel fortunate as an artist.”
