Cheap Trick performs in concert in West Palm Beach, Florida

Here is the Cheap Trick Conan O’Brien video along with photos. The band performed Sick Man of Europe on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien in support of their newly released 16th studio album The Latest, released in July 2009.

Notably, in addition to the usual CD and digital release, the album The Latest was also released in limited editions in vinyl and 8-Track tape. The power pop and rock band has been active since its formation in 1974, recording and touring with the original lineup.

The band has been touring throughout the summer with Def Leppard and Poison; the tour, which kicked off on June 23 will wrap on September 7 in San Bernadino, California. Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen recently gave an interview, discussing both the tour and the band’s new album as well as the forthcoming album of the band’s live performances of the Beatles’ classic album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

We’re not a Beatles cover band but as far as any band that can do it, we can. Robin’s got a great voice. But we don’t have the exact sounds like, “I’d better get a Gretsch guitar for this one.” We do it as Cheap Trick. Plus, we’re using Geoff Emerick, the guy that engineered “Sgt. Pepper” and also worked with us on “All Shook Up” with Sir George Martin.
