Here are Miley Cyrus Today show video, photos of her live performance on August 28 2009 at the Plaza in Rockefeller Center as part of the Today Show Summer Concert Series. The teen superstar, scheduled to perform in replacement of Mariah Carey, performed in the rain before an enthusiastic audience, some of whom had stood in line for a day in a half in the rain in Manhattan to see the concert.
The Miley Cyrus performance included The Climb, See You Again, Kicking and Screaming as well as Party in the U.S.A. the lead single of her forthcoming EP mini-album, The Time of Our Lives which will be released on August 31, 2009 on Hollywood Records and available exclusively at Walmart. The album release date coincides with the launch of the new Miley Cyrus clothing line with Max Azria which is also available only at Walmart.

As the August 28, 2009 Miley Cyrus Today Show video reveals, during the interview, with Matt Lauer the pop star noted that the new album has more rock influences that her previous work. She noted Janis Joplin and Joan Jett as influential in her work as she had grown up listening to their music.
