Here is the official Imogen Heap First Train Home video, lyrics, and photos in support of the led single from the British singer-songwriter’s third studio album Ellipse released internationally on August 24 and on August 25, 2009 in the U.S.

The music video was directed by British set designer Es Devlin who has worked with top artists including Kanye West on his Touch the Sky tour, according to Spinner in an article in which the Grammy Award nominated singer-songwriter is interviewed and discusses the impetus for the collaboration.

“This is her first directing video and so it was a bit of a kind of a challenge for both of us,” Heap continues. “Es had never made a video before, but I knew we had a great relationship. I really like her as a person, I think she’s a genius creative person and I just thought, ‘Two girls together…’ I’ve never been directed by a girl either and I thought we could do something really great together.”

As The Independent notes, Imogene Heap Ellipse album includes artwork submitted by fans. In May 2009, she created a special group on Flickr and she asked her fans to make their contributions to the album artwork, based on their response to lyrics, which she posted online. Of the more than 1,000 fans who responded, photos from eleven of them are included in the CD.
