Some of the controversy in recent days has focused on allegations that the health care reform bill would create “death panels” — perceived as bureaucrats empowered to make decisions as to which elderly or seriously ill patients would live or die. As the Washington Post notes, the basis of the allegation stems is the reaction to a provision in the bill authorizing Medicare reimbursement to patients who sought end-of-life counseling. While the provision is in the House version of the bill, reportedly it is being dropped from the Senate version. Source: Obama to Take On Health-Care Critics

I heard Obama at the beginning of his town hall that over 400,000 households in Montana have benefited from the stimulus. However, as of the last US census in 2000 the total households in Montana was only 358,667 with a total population of 902,190. In 2007 the population was estimated at 957,861 with a total number of households being roughly 371,954 (+/- 3,292) How can Obama have helped out over 400,00 households in Montana when there are not that many households in Montana?

(all numbers are from the US Census Bureau)
