See the Bat for Lashes Sleep Alone video, with lyrics and recent photos. It is the second official single from the indie artist’s (real name Natasha Kahn) recently released sophomore studio album, Two Suns which was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize and peaked at No. 4 on the U.K. Album chart.
The music video, visually mesmerizing and dreamlike, stars the singer-songwriter as the character in the song who takes charge and overcomes sleeplessness and loneliness. Bat for Lashes Sleep Alone lyrics were written by Natasha Khan. Serving as co-producer on the track as well as the album in its entirety was David Kosten, who co-produced the entire album, with the singer-songwriter. He was also her collaborator on her debut album, Fur and Gold.
Making guest appearances on the album are Yeasayer as well as Scott Walker who appears on the album’s final track. The concept album according to the official release, reveals a series of “modern-day fables exploring dualities on a number of levels – two lovers, two planets, two sides of a personality.”
